Rachel and Allison Piano Recital
On Saturday, September 17th we were invited to hear Rachel and Allison perform a variety of pieces played on an electronic keyboard. They have been taking piano lessons for 3 years and their teacher decided to have them perform outside for family and friends. Allison and Rachel are the daughters of Daryl and Tammy McMullen and of course two of our great grandkids.
Allison was responsible for organizing the program including developing invitations and program. Good job Alli.
Friends and family brought heir lawn chairs and enjoyed a picnic lunch before the musicians performed.
Abby Callender, a close friend of Rachel and Allison, also performed a piece. She did a great job as well.
All the kids did a great job and we enjoyed fine food as well as great music.

Great Grandma Mary Grier
While I was sitting by Mary's bed side I noticed this figure in the kleenex. Sitting in the right position the kleenex made the image that looked like an Angel.
August 4, 2011 we lost Great Grandma Mary to that old enemy called death. But Jesus will have the last say in the matter as when He comes the second time, He will shout with a loud voice and Mary will wake from her sleep to life eternal. What a glorious morning that will be. Even so come Lord Jesus.

Those in attendance 2011 Reunion
Al and Fran McMullen enjoyed the reunion and thank each of the attendees for putting up with Al's constant camera presence. It was a great weekend, great weather, great food, great games, great host and hostess, and great friends to share old memories with. LET's DO IT AGAIN before we are all in wheelchairs eh.
Engvar Braaten was there in spirit. Al and Fran stopped by on way to Vernon and had a great visit. Engvar wanted us to say hi to everyone and wishes he could have joined us. He remains "Jake"; very positive and content with what has been dealt him. If you are in the Penticton area you will be blessed by paying him a visit. He enjoys short visits.
