Drayton reunion 2011

July 1 - 3 was our 3rd reunion of the guys and gals who met and enjoyed each others fellowship during the 1950's and 1960's in the oilpatch. Bob and May Barker hosted this years reunion and again provided great food, games, and story swapping opportunities.

There were 19 in attendance. Front row (l-r) Don Andersen and his wife carol, Fran McMullen, Dalton Heyland, Norma Disney, and Bruce Harrison. Second row (l-r) Gail Heyland, Fay Williamson, May Barker, May Wiseman, Arlene Harrison, and Laurie Disney. Back row (l-r) Al McMullen, Bob Barker, Bob Disney, Terry Andersen, Don Disney, Kent Williamson, and Bud Wiseman

It got a little cool Friday evening but come on Bob it wasn't that cold!!!

May, Fran, and Arlene seem to be solving the world's problems or maybe coming up with some new ones.

There was lots of story telling times and catching up on the latest events in each others lives.

Saturday was a time for games. In the morning some of the group played golf and the rest of us slept in!! Then we met for lunch and more games. Terry seemed to have trouble with his ____ and its a good thing Al is easy-going. We had more laughs than we deserve. Thanks Terry for your great sense of humor. You liven up the reunions.

Still trying to get them untangled.

Lawn bowling or Bocce provided a little more exercise and look at the great form Kent displayed.

Arlene used her bowling expertise and showed us how it should be done.

Kent and Don relaxing after a hard fought bocce game.

Norma, May, and Carol swapping tales.

The two Bobs share stories.

Bruce and Arlene Harrison were new to the reunion this year. It was nice to meet the spouses of Arlene and Don and to renew old friendships.

Sunday morning was our last get together with pancake, eggs, and sausage breakfast.

Don cooked up some great eggs.

Bob makes great pancakes. We ate enough that it held Fran and I all the way to Shelby, MT before we had to stop for supper.

Bob, daughter Whitney, and May - thanks for providing such a great weekend. I'm sure Whitney was the one who ordered such great weather (she's an RCMP officer) . Nice to have one of those RCMP officers on our side for a change eh?
